Minimum and Maximum Participation?

Excursions require a minimum number of participants. If the minimum is not met, we reserve the right to cancel the excursion and provide a full refund or reschedule for another date. The maximum number of participants is determined by the capacity of the excursion vehicle or venue.

Are Discounts Available for Groups?

We offer discounts for groups on some excursions. A group is usually considered to be any number above 20 adults. Is Insurance Included in the Excursions?

VisitCrete.com is not responsible for any injuries, losses or damages to personal property that may occur during the excursion. In the unfortunate event of injury or death, please be aware that coverage will depend on where and when the incident occurs (for example, during transportation or while on an organized tour - and not during free time on the excursion) and will be subject to the insurance contract of each excursion's supplier.

How Can I Make a Booking?

You can book an excursion through our website, by email or phone. We require full payment at the time of booking to secure your spot.

How Can I Pay a Booking?

Payment can only be made by credit card. We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, Dinners). We do not accept cash payments.

What is the Meeting Point for the Excursion?

The meeting point (pick-up point) for the excursion varies depending on the location (Departing Zone) and activity. Please refer to the excursion details or contact our customer service team for more information on the meeting point.

Can I Book an Excursion for a Large Group or Event?

Can I Book an Excursion on the Same Day as the Activity?

About My Health and Safety?

It is your responsibility to inform us of any health conditions, allergies, or physical limitations that may affect your ability to participate in the excursion. VisitCrete.com reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who may pose a safety risk to themselves or others. It is your responsibility to follow all safety instructions provided by the excursion leader.

What Happens to my Personal Data I Give to Make a Booking?

We collect and use your personal information solely for the purpose of providing you with the excursion you have booked. We will not share your information with any third party unless required by law.

Is It Safe to Use my Credit Card with VisitCrete.com?

At VisitCrete.com, we take your security and privacy seriously. That's why we use one of the largest and most trusted banks in Greece, ALPHA BANK, to process all credit card transactions on our website. We operate with the latest channels for higher performance and security, including the 3D secure protocol, to ensure that your information is protected at all times.

 

When you make a payment on our website, you are automatically transferred to ALPHA BANK's secure environment to enter your credit card details. We do not see or store your credit card details on our website or in our database, ensuring that your sensitive information remains safe and secure.

I Just Booked an Excursion. Now What?

After placing a booking with VisitCrete.com here's what you can expect to happen next:

Payment Confirmation: After completing the payment process on our bank's website, you will be redirected back to our site where you can view the status of your booking.

Booking Confirmation: You will also receive an automated email confirming your booking (check also your spam folder!). Please double-check that all the information is correct. 

Staff Contact: Within the next hour, a member of our staff will reach out to you via email with important details about your excursion. This will include the exact pick-up time, pick-up location, and any other relevant information you need to know before your excursion.

Voucher: On the same email from our staff member, you will receive a voucher for your excursion (attached). Please bring this voucher with you on the day of your excursion as proof of payment.

After Booking an Excursion​

Can I Make Changes to my Reservation After Booking?

You may be able to modify your excursion reservation, subject to availability and changes being made within the specified time frame.

 

Normally, theses changes are Free of Charge, unless it's an upgrade service with cost.

What is the Cancellation Policy for the Excursions?

Since we work with various tour organizers or suppliers, the applicable cancellation policies may vary depending on the nature of each excursion. These policies are clearly stated at the end of each excursion's description. In the unlikely event that no policy is provided, then the general policy of VisitCrete.com will be enforced, which requires a cancellation request at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the excursion. If the excursion is cancelled more than 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time, a full refund will be issued. However, if the cancellation request is made within 24 hours of the start time, there’s no refund entitled.

How Can I Request a Cancellation?

To cancel a booking, either send an email to [email protected] or call (+30) 2810341560. Regardless of the method, you must obtain written confirmation of the cancellation from VisitCrete.com.

Do you Offer Rrefunds for Cancelled Excursions?

We understand that circumstances may arise that necessitate the cancellation of an excursion, and we offer refunds under certain conditions.

If VisitCrete.com (or our suppliers) cancels an excursion, you have the option to either reschedule the activity for a later date or choose a different excursion, or you can receive a full refund.

However, if you initiate the cancellation, please note that it must be done within the indicated time frame in order to receive a full refund. Please refer to our FAQ section for information on cancelling a booking.

What Happens if the Weather is Bad on the Day of the Excursion?

In the event of inclement weather on the day of the excursion, we may need to cancel or reschedule the activity to ensure the safety of our customers. Normally, the decision whether to proceed with the excursion or not is made by the local authorities, such as the port authorities for boat transportation, or by our supplier, who organizes the tour, based on the weather conditions. These decisions are made at the last minute to ensure the most accurate assessment of the situation and to prioritize the safety of our customers. What Should I Bring on the Excursion?

At VisitCrete.com, we want to ensure that our participants are prepared and comfortable during their excursions. While the specific items you should bring will depend on the excursion you have booked, we recommend bringing some essential items to ensure you have an enjoyable experience.

Comfortable clothing and shoes are a must for any excursion, as they will allow you to move around freely and enjoy all the sights and activities on offer. We also recommend bringing sunscreen and a hat to protect you from the strong Mediterranean sun. Additionally, staying hydrated is essential in the warm climate, so we suggest bringing a refillable water bottle to keep you hydrated throughout the day.

VisitCrete.com (and our Tour Organizers) reserves the right to remove any participant from an excursion who engages in disruptive or inappropriate behaviour.
